      • Donations across schools was low this year, but we still had enough to help everyone who requested it

    • Registration for next year
      • Hillcrest and Jordan have 9th grade night on January 31
      • High school counselors here on February  7 to work with 8th graders on course requests
      • Counselors will be in 6th grade and 7th grade classes handing out registration cards January 30, 31 and February 1

 

  • Governor Cox’s Cell Phone Request ~Mindy Robison 
    • Midvale’s Cell Phone Policy
      • Cell phones must be put away from bell to bell. 
      • Cell phones may be used before and after school, during passing time, and at lunch.  Otherwise, they must be put away and not in use. 
      • Violations of the cell phone policy will result in the phone being taken to the office.
      • Repeated offenses will require an adult to pick up the phone from the office. 
      • If a parent needs to contact a student during the day, please call the main office at 801.826.7300.

 

  • As a SCC we feel comfortable with our current policy. 

 

  • ATSI Update ~Mindy Robison 
    • Additional Targeted Support for Improvement (ATSI) 
    • Designation occurs when your scores for a specific demographic are in the lower 5% range in the state.
      • Not yet exited:
        • SWD (Students with Disabilities)
        • PI7  (Pacific Islander)

 

  • Teacher Student Success Plan ~Mindy Robison
    • Literacy goal is 75% of students will show expected growth on the RI.
    • STEM goal is that 60% of students will show expected growth on the MI.
    • Our first PBIS goal is monthly, at least 98% of students will be recognized using our school-wide PBIS system.
    • Also, student connectivity will increase from the pre and post wellness 

survey.
