6th Grade started lessons in stress.  This is a requirement from the state.  This will be done in digital literacy for college and readiness.

7th grade every 3 years the counselors in the district have to do a needs assessment.  Determine the gaps with parents, teachers and students.   5 minute meetings with all 7th graders.  Career pathways and goals are discussed with looking at next year and high school.  Self advocacy lesson will be done with 7th grade.  Data will be looked at in Q1 attendance and pull 15 kids that need a little help with coming to school

CSD School Safety Report:   Look at the Canyon School Safety Protocol.  Everyone needs to review the website for this.  Standard Response Protocol – there have been 2 drills this year, the next one will be  HOLD.  School Safety Plan  (Safe Schools walking Route and Safety Plan).  We need to decide this years focus as it has been Safe Walking Rules.  This can be sent out to parents in Parent Square.  One suggestion is giving some portions throughout the year to parents.

Safe walking route was reviewed with a 2 mile radius and up for approval.  Any issues with these routes needs to be brought to attention.  On Wasatch the crosswalk is not light and has been brought up.  The route can be found on the website.
