Midvale Middle students are signing pledges to be fearless and be kind during the month of November. For every pledge signed, the company Hasbro will give a toy to a child in need. In conjunction with the pledges made, our school is making a campus-wide effort to increase acts of kindness. When a student completes an act of kindness, he or she will leave a "Caring Card” behind. The student or adult receiving the act of kindness should then pay it forward and do something kind for someone at school or at home. Acts of kindness can be things like saying hi to a new friend, helping a teacher with his or her recycling, or taking out the trash at home. We hope to spread the goodness!

From the Works of Edgar Allen Poe
“How lucky are we?” Guest Two asks her companions in the "The Masque of the Red Death" portion of Shuddersome: Tales of Poe. Guest Three then asks, “Lucky are we what?” Guest One replies, “To be safe and sound in here.” Audiences will be safe and sound from Poe’s terrors in Midvale Middle School’s auditorium as the school’s world-honored theatre department presents Poe’s thrilling tales. The troupe gives their first performance to the student body during school on Tuesday, November 14, and to general audiences Thursday and Friday, November 16-17, at 7:00 PM. Admission is free. Watch for the student-created masks and costumes!
